This gathering introduces the Afrocentric Neo - Impressionism Art Movement, a vision born from both the struggle and the strength of a people whose stories continue to shape the world. Each brushstroke carries the weight of history, the beauty, the trials, the heritage, and the unbroken spirit of those who came before us.

Through this exhibition, artist Lessie Venardo Dixon and Friends invites you to experience art not merely as image, but as living testimony. Traveling between Chicago and Johannesburg, Dixon draws on the spiritual guidance of  his ancestors and the scared wisdom of South African Healers. His most recent connection with a Healer in Johannesburg has inspired a new series of artwork, one a painter, the other a spiritual conduit, both translating divine energy into human form.

In the same spirit, artist Anthony Akinbola joins this conversation, connecting threads of ancestry and creation between continents, from 3622 S. Morgan Street to South Africa, from the studio to the spirit.
