A Journey Through Kentucky

"Alluring," a powerful work of Afrocentric Neo-Impressionism by 
Lessie Venardo Dixon, is now on view as part of the Celebrating the Black Experience traveling exhibition across Kentucky. This evocative piece captures the magnetic pull of identity, beauty, and ancestral memory, painted by Dixon's signature style-a fusion of representational form, vibrant color, and spiritual depth.

With each brushstroke, "Alluring" explores the quiet confidence and sacred presence of the Black feminine spirit. The painting draws viewers into a space of reflection, pride, and reclamation, embodying the essence of what it means to be seen physically and through lineage and legacy.
